RC Driving Style
wanted to shed some weight while keeping the cage. So I decided to cut the front of the cage off, where it's not seen.

ended up cutting the rear, stupid mistake. COrrected it by cutting the front anyway and doweling to the rear. Looks better and some weight was shed.

some paint and number plates made from spare lexan.

How much did it lighten it up? Thats a good looking truck.
 
I personally don't think the weight savings is worth it. I like the custom number plates :thumbup:
I am thinking of cutting the rear of the body out like that. I think it holds in too much heat.
 
probably very little weight was saved, but keeping that part of the cage does very little for the truck anyway so it does little harm to remove it. It's one of many in a list of items I'm doing to reduce weight while maintaining a scale appearance. Cutting the windows and body up helps a great deal with heat and a slight amount of weight as well.
