i heard about it on the radio tonite. i went to school with one of dave's grandsons. the thomas family are good people and I'm sure they will compensate the woman. hopefully they change vendors.

Howly chow..
Any idea where the damned thing came from? Someone has go to be missing it.

Local(in store), or in a container shipped/supplied from their chili manufacture?

Heh, free chili for life..all you can eat if you can eat it LMAO..

I do however feel sorry for the Wendy's chain. We have two of them here local. I can't stand the Employee's, but the food, portions, price and their policies were top notch as far as fast food goes. (Awesomne fries)
It's got to be hard to compete with Taco bell, MC'ds and Burger king.

Really wish it would have happened to MC-D's instead, (not that I would wish that circumstance on anyone)
Their...price/policy/portion/attitude/food sucks comparitively! $2.19 or more for a large fry? pfft!

Did you see the size of that fingernail? I'm thinking some disgruntled employee from the chili factory paid a visit to the coroner's office.

I'm thinkin a chili meat grinding factory is a great way to dispose of bodies........and this is EXACTLY why I won't eat processec or ground meat unless I see it being done.....I even have my supermarket grind my hamburger fresh when I buy it.....

This was my first thought as well.
"What If" They dont find the person who is missing a finger?
I wonder if the thought of testing the "other meat" in the chili has crossed their mind?

The finger could just be the tip of the crime. :p:

I think a meat plant would definately know if one of their own lost a finger anywhere near a packing station or processor.....I mean what happened the guy lost his finger and kept working the rest of the day...no hospital visit.....no minimum wage plant worker is going to pass up workers comp and paid vacation and potential lawsuit for lack of safety......I'M SURE.....so where did the finger come from? someone who hasn't said anything....oh I dunno like someone who's DEAD!!!!.....This is going to be one of those unsolved mysteries......

Once I had their chili and tossed it via projectile means about half an hour later.

Years later I met someone that used to work at Wendy's. What they do is set out their hamburger meat from the freezer to the fridge for the projected burger-slamming. When it doesn't get used and starts to get that greenish slime on top of it, guess what they do?

They fry it up and make chili.

BAAAARRRFFFF . . . . .

No chili factory for the chili finger to originate. So it must be an inside job.

not true

info from link in first post said:
Health officials are beginning their investigation into determining the owner and origin of the finger.

The chili is made on-site at the restaurant, using several ingredients from a variety of companies.

Fenstersheib said investigators are tracing back all the ingredients to their respective companies and then analyzing records to see if there were any reported accidents associated with the packaging plants.

The chili base was made in Dublin, Ohio.

Tracing the source of the ingredients could take several weeks, but investigators believe they will be able to match the finger due to fingerprints.

That is disgusting... Does that chili look good to you guys? I think it looks like something that plankton would sell at the chum bucket. (spongebob) thats just gross....

Eddy, Thats something that rolex would say.

That is nasty YUCK!
Thanks for the credit, but I would say it's rare for someone to give you the finger BEFORE you complain.
Other than that, authorities need to investigate and finger the one responsible.
