All I can say is dayummm it!!! I started to break the Savage in according to the Nitro Star mill book. On first tank the book states to leave the transmitter off and the receiver off, so i did this. I thought all was good. So we get to the second tank. The book says this time....On tank 2..turn the transmitter and receiver to the ON position...so i do. I start the truck up and it wants to take off. I adjusted the linkage between the carb and the throttle rod AND adjusted the dial on the transmitter and still no luck. The little dial is turned all the way and it still wants to haul ass. No matter what i have tried, i can't get neutral to zero in What else can i try?

When you turn on the Transmitter, does the throttle servo move? If so, you may have the trim dialed in a bit too much.

Other than that, remove the linkage from the servo. Turn on the receiver. Turn on the transmitter. Set the throttle trim to zero. Let the servo adjust. Then re-install the linkage. When I say remove the linkage from the servo, I mean to unscrew the servo horn from the top of the servo and pull it off. This process is best if done with the servo mounted. Also, once the linkage is back on...you may need to add a little trim to close the carb with the throttle in the neutral position. This is because the teeth of the servo output gear might not line up in the servo horn just right to make the carb closed at the servo's neutral postion.

If that does not solve the problem all the way, then you will need to look at the linkage set up and the idle set screw for the engine. With the throttle in the closed position, you should be able to look down the neck of the carb and see the throttle cylinder's nice shiney surface and a small opening or gap of about the thickness of a credit card. This gap is what controls your idle. As you adjust the idle set screw that gap gets larger or smaller depending on your adjustment.

I would solve the linkage issue first, then check the idle set.

Hope this helps.

Thanks Sky..i just in from work. I will take it out and try this after i get a bite to eat. Will let ya know how it goes.
