i finally got a new engine for my revo 3.3. i got one tank through and had to replace the glow plug washer. it was shooting gas out of the glow plug.

Congrates little buddy! I allways spin mine backwards until I could feel it set where it needs to be before I tighten it up. Sounds like you did not have it tight enough. I did that once

yeah u prolly just didn't have the plug tight enough, make sure you have that plug tight, just not overly tight

i think it was the tool i was useing you can't get and torqe on it like a cross wrench. i got 2 tanks thru now its a little easyier to crank.

You really don't need a whole lot of torque on the glowplug. One firm twist past hand tight tight with a socket driver would be fine.

That's weird. I've NEVER had a glow plug get loose.

the plug didnt come loose it just leaks kinda bad anless you tighten it up alot

That copper gasket is soft, and needs to be compressed to make a tight seal. If that's missing or damaged you can do some damage trying to stop it from leaking.

i changed the copper gasket and tightend it up more and it stoped

The old one must have been warped or something. At least it's fixed now.

ya it was a bummer i put the engine togeather and put it in the truck in like 5min and cranked up on the first pull drove for a few min and relized it was shooting gas out of the glow plug
