Hey everyone I finally got my T-Maxx can't wait to drive it. I got a question though. I don't have a hump pack yet what would be a good one to buy and how long do the double A batteries last before you have to get knew ones?

Congrats!! The double A pack won't last long and dosent provide enough power, it will do, but not compared to a real hump pack. I had an Orion Marathon 1600mah hump pack in my savage and it did well, made enough power for servos and receiver.

Last about 1 hr or so. You can find a 2500mah pack at stickmanrc.com I picked one up for my truggy only because I'm using digital servos and they use up more battery compared to regular analog servos. Think I paid $30, plus $5 shipping.

how do you no if your running digital or analogue ??? does it say on the servo is there much difference ? cheers , ash

Yeah, I do find that with the AA batteries, they have to be changed out every 4 or 5 runs, and that is too much. I will probably get a hump pack for mine in the near future too, they are only 30 bucks or so.

I'm not 100% positive but some say on them. I don't know if rtr's come with digital servos nowadays. I bought mine aftermarket. Yes there is a huge difference! I tried mine out a little bit and totally not the same as analog. Quicker and cleaner response time, very sensitive!

In the long run, a hump pack is cheaper and offers more power.

I use a 1600 mah venom pack. super cheap really,I'm thinkin less than 20 bucks. For me it will last several tanks. I want to guess that it will last more than 2 hrs continuous. this may not sound like a long time, but it will last longer than you should need for a days bashing.

I get about 5 days to a week of reliable use out of my rechargable batteries, and got the same out of duracel batteries... and all those batts I took out after i used them the kids have been using in there little toys to finish them off...... I do have a pack in one of my tmaxx's and havent really noticed a huge difference... honestly..
