Well molded, but PAINT!! And try to trim up those cuts for the wheels. Another strait or rounded cut and a dremel should clean that up, no problem.

That is some good work. but is it strong than lexan?
And what about the cost compaired to a lexan body?
can't wait to see it painted.

looks pretty good but it last long in my opinion. a couple bad crashes and it will be history

i dono i can stand on it on the ground and it doesn't budge!!

i used this body on the tmaxx to try the backflip and i must have crashed it 50 times now and its still good

Paint is gonna be had to sand the whole body and if it flips it will scratch off so idk about the paint!!

Maybe paint, then dip the outside of the body in clear plasti-dip? i dunno, thats a toughy... Good Idea though!

oh in that case you preety much have a roll cage. good work

yeh thats what i was going for!!! so if it does and when it does flip it totally protects the inside of the car even if the fiberglass cracks or breaks the car shouldn't

yeh i just put tin foil inside the original body and laid down some firberglass and let it dry!!

One thing to note put a pencil or someting in between the doors of the body to make it a 1/2 in wider so it fits the body!!! i did one without it and it would get around the chassie cause it dried alot smaller!!

just an idea

Sweet dude, this is funny, my friend taught me like 2 weeks ago how to work with fiber glass resin and kitty hair and bondo and all that good stuff because we were making a custom speaker box for our friends new subs. And while we were doing that i got to thinking (this stuff is tough as s**t!! It would be freakin awesome if i made a body for my rc car out of this stuff) and i was actually planning on doing it once i get some time. I like how yours turned out but how i want to do mine is just cover the inside of the already painted plastic body with the fiberglass. That way there is the plastic on the outside that already is painted and looks nice, and then on the inside is the layer of fiberglass to make it super tough. Do you think this is at all possible?

Would kinda be cool to watched explode once ya hit something. It looks pretty cool, but fiberglass can't withstand much and will crack chip and like I said explode on a good hit. The thinner the more flexable it would be though Id imagine.

yeh you would prob have to bolt the 2 bodies together but it could work!!

and dont listen to eveyone i made one for the tmaxx that i can totally stand on and it doesn't move!!

I'm 130 lbs

And how did it hold up bashing it?

This may be a stupid question, but why the tin foil? Does the fiberglass/resin not bond with it?

Nope, theres no bond between the two.Wax paper does the same thing but wont hold the shapes like the tin foil

i still have it... its not in 100% perfect condition but it didnt really crack or split...i guess thats because the jato has the plastic carry handle thing in the niddle of the truck that goes up the the roof. so that may have been a really big factor!!

but if u really wanna be a stickler i could prob stand on it now and crack it atleast!!

one more point... if the crack it all it really takes is to take it off turn it upsidedown and cut 10 strips and patch the body like a real car so to speak !!
