I always tell people to PAY ATTENTION when putting there stuff back together. Well I did a rookie mistake and did not do this when putting the rear suspension back on my T Maxx.
From the start it was an easy repair, just a little time consuming. I was replacing a broken bulkhead. Not hard. Well as I was putting it back together I started to get in a hurry, daylight was leaving and it was almost 45 out. So I got it back together and ran out to test things before it got dark. Fueled up and ready. Wont start. Pulled and pulled, no start. Crap now what!! This engine ALWAYS starts on the first or second pull?'@#$#@? After about 10 minutes of fighting I take it back to the bench. I find there is no fuel getting to the carb. Well when I put the rear back together I had inadvertently pinched the fuel line. If I was paying attention to what I was doing and not rushing I would not have done this. Now all this has cost me the daylight and an OK day to run it. After fixing the pinched line it started on the second pull.
I could not believe that I did that. Even my 10 year old was chuckling at me, with good reason. So basically, PAY ATTENTION when working on your trucks guys. It will save you a ton of frustration in the end.
Have fun everyone. Shaun:hehe:

Bwahahahaha! Its ok, last week I put my motor back together and put the one way bearing in backwards and upon rebuilding the ez starts, put the motor on upside down so when the pos and neg wires were attached, they were spinning the motor backwards. Amazingly I could get the motor to fire but could not for the life of me figure out why it would not move forward! Yes, I too was in a rush for daylight! Taught me a lesson!:hehe:

Haha its always putting the diff upside down
I actually printed a note to my self on which to put the diffs in and put it on my monitor lol

I put the front diff in wrong one time and when I started the truck, it was trying to go backward and forward at the same time. AND, one other day I started the truck and it quit after about 1 minute of running. After trying to restart it, I realized I had never filled the fuel tank and it was MT. And about a month ago, I though I had a bad OWB so I replaced it. It wasn't the fix. I took it apart and did it again. Still no good. After taking the engine apart about 3 times, I finally realized that the wires on the EZ start motor were switched around and it was spinning backwards.

That is not to bad, i did a motor build yesterday. Did a test fire to check the gear mesh etc. Piston was not going to BDC pulled everything out took the motor apart. Just used to screws for the pullstart just to test out the piston movement. All was good i put the motor back in set the mesh, check the linkage etc etc. I see 2 screws on my table, sure enough a lot of F words where heard thew out my house by my family. I then took out the motor then put the screws back in then set the motor again. By this time it was to dark/cold, i had to wait tell this morning. Keep in mind its 28 deg and it snowed and it was snowing a tad. So i did do a test fire and all is good but things happen when you rush. Trying to get out there before the sun goes down sucks. I said to my girl if you guys would not cry about it would of started it in side lol. $hit happens !
