Fastrax Fail safe

Greetings all, as stated in my intro I've recently moved back to the UK and I'm egger to restore my Hobao hyper 7 TQ sport. With the progress I made I was able to strip down the RC and give it a much needed clean down for the amount of years its been rest down and so far I've had no problem that occurred on the condition or the reassemble of the RC. Now that I've almost reached the finale stage of restoring the RC the Fastrax fail safe is giving me problems. I've done countless research on chatgpt, google and YouTube concerning how to fix this problem. I have learn a lot about the fastrax fail safe and what each indication means. when turning on the controller and RC both is linked and connected to each other which give me a short time frame of being able to control the throttle and steering wheel. when the short time frame is up steering and throttle response decrease until there's no more response. During this prosses the Fastrax blink slowly which means its on power saving mode not to drain the battery. I've researched on how to reset the fastrax fail safe whereby you hold down the rest button whilst being on full brake position, when doing this the fail safe is meant to blink rapidly and stop to indicate when it is set. When doing this nothing happen to the fail safe and it continues to blink at the same pace. I've adjusted all the trims to neutral on the controller while trying to reset the fail safe, it'll be much appreciated if anyone could help me or give me some advice on what to do to fix this problem thanks
