Okay so I am building my new Fastlane bulkheads and I have noticed that there is a slight bit of side to side play in the differential. Is this normal or do I need to put shims in? How much play should there be? Which side do I add the shims to? Does my kit come with shims? Now my next problemo is that my cv driveshaft kit is not gonna work on the shaft that goes between the center trans and the rear diff because of the extended chassis. I am wondering if I could customize something by ordering another cv shaft for the diff to wheel connection and changing the ends to make it work as a driveshaft. Guess Ill give it a try.

You always want to shim the diffs for proper backlash regardless of bulkhead choice if you want the diffs to last. You want them snug enough to where any movement that is there, doesn't change the gear mesh (i.e. backlash), but not too tight. Think of it like setting the proper mesh between the CB and spur.

OK got it! Thank you for the help, I really appreciate it!!
