i'm new to rc cars
i have a ntc3 rtr kit
which comes with a TR0292A receiver and S1903 servo i think.
i've noticed that steering can be somewhat sluggish in response time. is it possible to increase the speed it can turn from left to right? (without buying a new servo?) or is the reason for slowish left/right steer due to cost of the product?

Do you have a rechargeable NiMh pack? If not, that can make a difference as well. The standard AA's will only produce 4+ volts while the hump packs will produce 6+ volts. Servos can run safely at either. But more voltage gives it more speed/power.

Aside from that, the only other thing you can do is swap out the servo itself. Personally, I like the HiTec Digital line of servos. Fast and strong!

Keep in mind, MOST RTR kits come with OK servos for steering.

Have a good one!

i'm using a set of 4 nimh 1800mah batteries, they each give about 1.4 volts on the voltmeter which should be okay, so i guess i'll have to change the servo if i want faster and stronger response.

thx

4 rechargerable battery only give you 4 x 1.2Volt=4.8volt. So u need to add another 1.2volt to make it respond more faster. My 2 cent advice.
