RC Driving Style
Hey guys, I got my maxx broken in and its running pretty sweet, but my buddy's jato kills my car! I'm looking for parts that'll make my car quicker. I got a .15 CV-R mill with a MIP stinger exhaust. I got no other performace hop ups, all stock gearing. Got any suggestions? Thanks
 
Any thing with less rotational mass..(IE)
Cvd's and Cva's Better berrings.get rid of the easy start....ditch the reverse and add a FOC.Add a sirio bb pipe
Or buy a BB savage This is IMO

open the wallet and let the big bucks flow.....or buy a new savage.....
 
Ok, the Jato is smaller with the same size motor, the 2.5 right? Of course the Jato is going to spank you. You will need to do some serious upgrades to the Maxx since the driveline is prone to breaking. The Diffs and bulkheads need to upgraded as well as the Telescoping drives to CVD's.
 
In my opinion it is going to be tough, a 2 speed stadium truck with a 2.5R VS a big bulky MT with a motor that is about equal in power....not going to happen, especially if you are just racing up and down the street it is not ever going to beat it....not saying the JATO is the bomb but its got probably half the weight and the same power and its a 2WD 2 speed against a 4wd 2 speed so the 2WD is going to get up to speed a lot faster. You want to beat him get a vehicle that has got a better weight to power ratio. I don't even think a big block would help but it might, those JATO's are pretty insane fast.


OR option two--find the oldest nitro fuel you can--leave it in the sun for two weeks uncovered and offer to fuel his truck for him with your special go fast fuel...lol
if you can't beat'em--cheat'em lol
 
Yes you have no chance..work friend installed a rb innovations .23 in his revo and thought he would give it to my Jato...5 car lengths and the rest is history..now I'm installing a 3.3,and he has no chance ever!I'm gonna overtake him on my back wheels now...good luck with it..
 
I've dumped plenty of money into maxxes and they just don't get up that fast. Don't waste your time. It's like taking a ford f-150 with a 4.6 and running it against a mustang with a 4.6 in it. There would be so many things you'd have to do to it to make it fast it's just not worth it.

Save your money and buy a buggy if you want to beat him. Especially on the track.
 
Just drive it man, don't be foolish like I was and end up putting $1500+ into your maxx just to make it bigger and faster. You WILL be following weak links.

Well the original was fast and hada vid of it doing about 50+... Not sure where that is though.

NOW 58 MPH I HAVE REACHED BUT IN HOW LONG I NEVER MEASURED FEET
ABOUT 7-9 HOUSES AWAY
I WILL GET MY TAPE MEASURE OUT AND SEE WHAT IT DOES IT 50 FEET
100 FEET 150 FEET AND 200 FEET
AND LET EVERYONE KNOW
