can't seem to get it to turn over...It seems hard to pull the pullstart unless the glow plug is out then its simple...I also put in a vented flywheel as well but that seems ot be ok. I've changed glow plugs but to no avail..Any tips from other Fantom owners?

Brad first you should put a couple of drops of After run oil in it and turn the engine over a couple of times by hand. Hard starting is good. I guess that means good compression. You also may try loosening the glow plug a couple of turns. Try one full turn first and see if that makes it easier. Once it starts running again you will want to tighten it back up. Hey is your fuel line holding fuel yet?? Does it look good in the car. I love mine. I am going to transplant mine soon to my Nitro MT and put a FR 12 in the SS. Good luck.

I put some ARO in it last night , it seems to be holding fuel fine and looks KILLER in my car lol now if I can only start it :) I MIGHT try today but I have the dreaded cold so I dont really feel like messing with it. If you have AOL hit me up on AIM my sn is blakaxent, I have a feeling we will need to help each other wiht tuning this engine..btw did you use the plastic carb linkage or the metal one?

Heya Brad well as far as the linkage go's that all depends on whether you got one with a slide or rotary carb. Mine came with the rotary so I have been using everything as from the stock car header, Pipe and linkage as well as flywheel and clutchbell and gears. Yeah we could chat some time. My carb actually wasn't holding fuel at all. I had to switch carbs from my 12RSS to my FR15 since it wouldn't hold fuel. Mine also came with no tuning instructions so I just did it all like it was the 12RSS since the motors are very similar. Later man.
