Hey Guys,

As the new NFL season looms large.... is there any plans to have an RCNT fantasy football team?

I'll do it if we have a live draft. I don't want to get stuck with whatever team an autodraft sticks me with. I also think the Yahoo fantasy football is better than ESPN, it's much more user friendly.

I'm in as usual.

This year is my year!

Which draft style do you guys want?

Live Online Draft
My league will participate in a live online draft that may last several hours and requires a Flash-enabled browser. Test your system to see if it is draft compatible. Your selected draft time can be changed after registration is complete. Users behind a firewall may be unable to participate.

Autopick Draft My league's teams will be drafted based Yahoo! default rankings or a manager's pre-ranking of players. Once draft status is set to Ready, the results will be posted by the following day.

Vote in the poll above...

I've never been on a fantasy football league, but I'd like to try it. Does it cost anything? Does it require constant attention?

@Alien - its a free league. just good friendly competition among friends, but yes it requires you to be involved. mostly setting your team every week and monitoring for trades and such.

@Woodie...i would prefer a live online draft. i've been in a few and the whole process took about 45 minutes to 1 hr. i say live draft where we get to pick the players. set the draft time for say 7-8pm on a friday or saturday.

The words Football and Fantasy should never be used together in a sentence. I'ts just gross!

Here's something to fantasize about

Now I'm drooling...

See now, Fri/Sat is bad for me. Do it on a weekday, just not this coming Wed.

I'm in, and also cast my vote for a live draft... my only worry is getting us all online at the same time. Hopefully if live draft does win, we can all agree on a good time to be online. Either way, live or computer draft... I am going to have fun.... besides, I think this is my year to get to pick Pete's avitar for a month! LOL

i was just tossing out friday/sat night. it can be done during the week aswell. anything after 9pm is good for me.

Live drafts can be done in under and hour. if i remember right, you only get like 3 minutes in yahoo to cast your pick. and if for some reason you dont show, the computer will pick for you based on pre-defined lists and candidate still available in the draft.

It's great to have dreams but you should try to keep them realistic :hehe:

Hey... the sun has to shine on a monkey's butt sometimes right? LOL Speaking of Monkey.... anybody heard from MonkeyWrench? He usually has my back on this stuff.

Ok so it seems like a live draft is going to be it - what times work best for everyone?
