you should try the search function on the site - alot of the questions you have been asking have already been answered.

Failsafes can be found at your local LHS, as well as online at www.towerhobbies.com and www.stormerhobbies.com

The most popular model is the Venom failsafe shown below:

It sells for about 30.00 and is as small as a penny. See more info about it at www.venom-racing.com
 
You'll find some pics on some of the member's cars in the gallery.
 
I usethe Ofna Failsafe...its about the same size as the venom...you can see pics in my gallery...its the little black and red button looking thing

Just about any hobby shop anywhere thast carries RC stuff has failsafes. In NY they cost about 40 bucks.
