Could anyone explain to me what exactly this is and how exactly to install one and how it works? I'm new to this sport and have heard a few nightmares from people on Youtube and places of the sorts who didn't originally have one and learn the hard way.

FYI: I have the basic AM channel radio :\

A failsafe monitors the connection between the transmitter and receiver for disruption and/or interference and also the total battery pack strength. Failures such as lost signal, frequency interference, or low battery will automatically engage the vehicle braking system, stopping or slowing down the RC depending on how you setup the failsafe.

For an AM setup like yours, the Ofna Micro Failsafe is a good option.

It is also a good idea to use a throttle return spring just in case you loose power to the receiver all together.

Ok sounds good... Is the fail safe installation pretty straight forward, or is this going to be involved? Where do I get a Throttle return spring. Is it going to be a proprietary part?:whhooo::whhooo::whhooo:
