ok there are alot of connectors on this revo, i just want to make sure i hook my fail safe up to the right one. can anyone tell me which one is the right one i need to hook it up too?

i have the ofna micro fail safe BTW

i see a throttle in and throttle out. I'm not sure if those are the ones I'm supposed to connect it to. was just wondering if anyone knew what connection it has to go between to get it to work right

disconnect the throttle servo from the receiver, plug the fail safe in the receiver, and plug the servo into the failsafe. make sure you program it!!

ok theres one that says throttle in, and throttle out, which one do i plug it into. cuz it looks like to me the throttle in is pluged into the opti drive sensor. is that the one your talking about?

Go from the receiver to the failsafe. Go from the failsafe to the Optidrive. Go from the Optidrive to the throttle servo. If you can do without it, I'd say remove the Optidrive and go straight from the failsafe to the throttle.

I'm going to use the optidrive till it give me a problem. than i got the FOC to put in its place. but if i can get a little use out of it for now that will be cool. thanks ok so on the recieve on my revo it has 1,2,3 and b which one do i connect it to?

ok i plugged my fail safe into the #2 on my reciever, from what my owners manual says that should be the throttle servo connector. i set my fail safe and than it just holds the break down no matter what. i take it off and than it goes back to normal. i charged my Rx and put fresh batteries in my Tx. what else could i be doing wrong?

Did you put in your servo/failsafe in the right way? The failsafe connector should be in a way that the manual says it. Same for the servo. It should be into the fail safe as said in the manual.

The failsafe also needs to be programmed to do what you want it to do when it loses signal. It won't work right just by plugging it in.

yeah i put it in the right way and programmed it the way it says in the directions. still dont work, any ideas?

Did you have the Transmitter on and the brake held while you programmed it?
As I recall, you need to turn everything on, let the servos center, let the failsafe turn off, then begin programming it to apply brakes.

EDIT:
Here's the link to make sure you are doing it right:

I'm still having problems with the ofna micro fail safe. when i connect it, turn on the Tx than my Rx and i wait a little bit for the fail safe to do what it does. but i have no control over my throttle servo. I'm wondering if anyone else had this problem to know if maybe i have a bad fail safe or something. still can't get this thing to act right. all it wants to do is twitch like crazy. it wont stay still to let me set it correctly

There's always the possibility that you have the radio and Rx too close to each other. That often causes the twitching. When you're programming your fail safe, put the radio on the ground behind you.

ohhh ok that makes sense cuz i always have them right next to each other for easy access. ill def try that

I use the Duratraxx one on both my RC10GT and Revo 3.3 and work great even along side the optidrive :)

Thanks for the link Rolex. I bought the same one and put it on my buggy. I followed the directions on the package back and it worked fine in the shop but I couldn't get the status led to do what the directions said. Directions say"LED off:ready to go....LED solid:do not run...LED flashing:do not run. I couldn't get the LED to stop flashing so I took it out. Now I see on your link that flashing is what you want. All those dirty words for nothing.

Before you run, just test if a couple of times with the engine off. Hold the throttle to full, and turn off the radio.
If it comes off throttle and into brake mode and the light turns a solid red, you're good to go.

i just got back from vacation and i tried that fail safe again and it still does not want to work. i dont know whats up with this darn thing! lol
