Fabrication!! "Welding"

Most of the parts that I see coming in are from their(OCC) suppliers ie.: wheels, engines, forks. Their frames are made by a supplier that makes it to their specification on a jig, most probably from a one-off they made originally. Same thing goes for their tanks, fenders and other stuff. To make things 100% in house would not be financially feasable, but can be done.

Billy Lane, Roger Bourget, Indian Larry, Paul Laffe & West Coast Choppers (Jesse James)make things the same way except for when they get a custom order which is generally made to fit the buyer. Look at the Diablo II that he, Jesse James, made for Shaq.

Another good example of fabrication is shown in the custom auto world. Chip Foose, Boyd Coddington, Carrol Shelby, Justin Patefeild, Rod Millen, Roy Brizio, Troy Tripannier ... the list goes on and on.

Something always has to be fabricated. If you can't buy it, make it. If it won't fit, make it fit. Fabrication, it's all taken in perspective ... especially when it comes to business and price.
