So I got all the stuff to do it here in my garage so why not!! Gonna fabricat my own bumpers and 12 bar. This should be good. I've got some 1" by 1/4" aluminum flat bar that I use to use to make lowering links for sport bikes so why not use that to make bumpers instead of buying them. And then I've got some sheet metal that would work perfect as a 12 bar for doing wheelies in the parking lots. My idea will be easy installation and removal. More pics coming soon.

So here are the rest. It won't stay the brushed aluminum look just haven't decided witch process I'm gonna use to make them black yet. I even made it to where the bolts are resessed.

Thanks man. Gonna start the rear pumper tonight but will prolly work on the wheelie bar tomorrow. I think I'm gonna have a design hydro dipped on to the bumpers. Dunno yet. That take a beating so I dunno.

Ok now I got the rear done.

a hydro dip should last pretty good I would think bc the image is so to say burned to the metal via electricity good job on the bumpers tho what are u using to cut and drill the aluminum

I just used my drill,2 bits, grinder with a cut off wheel, vise and a hammer. Oh and measure twice cut once lol

surprised you were able to get a good hole with only a drill but aluminum is pretty soft tho lol measure twice is the only way to go haha

yeah i want a drill press even just a smaller one would work great for around the house. the holes on the front bumper didnt turn out as good as i had hoped but still straightish lol

A good thing to do is to put the bit where you want it to be and hammer it down to make a little indention so the bit doesn't try to travel has bad. do this with an older bit tho btw. Another thing you can do is take an old knife and just spin the tip while pushing down in aluminum its soft enough to make enough of a spot for a drill bit.

true.. i have a punch set.. was just in a hurry lol..

Ok so now I have the platform for the 12 bar drawn up its time to cut it out and start shaping.

I know it looks crooked but it's really not.

According to your first pic, I'd recommend wearing steel toed boots when working with metal. It looks like you already lost the little toe. :hehe:

videos please?

well tested it out,, not as stable as i had hoped.. but i will get some video of an hour or so when my son gets home from school. i love hearing the scrape though haha.. i was hopeing that having a little flex with the material that is would absormbe some of the bumpness was that theory needs more work,, its so powerful and yet light so gonna be alot of fabbing and testing..
