was just wondering if any one else thort of doing this

i fried my ez starter (handheld part) other day and was just wondering if you all think it would be safe to ditch the part and run a battery straight to the starter motor without all the fancy starter

i have never had any problems starting engine fires up straight away

so just wondered if would be safe

You could do it if you really want to. You need to find a good place to firmly attach the stick pack to the rig and wire a momentary switch inline--either rocker or push button. It will add weight to your rig but it can be done if you have the room.

i wouldnt run it with out the moudel, it wouldnt tell when the glowplugs dead, or if somthings wrong with the motor the ez-start wont turn off and it will probly burnup.
