EZ start sucks. You get it started and when it stalls or whatever and the battery is dead. I am definatly converting to pull start. Is it the same or does it actually start your truck more than once?

Try pulling the blue wire off the plug and use a separate igniter. Your EZ Start battery will last much longer.

You will need the separate igniter anyway if you go to a pull start.

sorry to hear you think it sucks.. i have 2 batteries. and when i go out, thats all i need..they will start my truck all day.. i think before you call out the eazy start, you should check your pack.. i use the cheapest ones i can find. bot $12.. do you discharge your batteries?.. just like when running electric, you have to cycle and disharge. if not, it will hold a memory.. and wont peak.. why would you want a pull start, unless your racing..you can start the truck with the body on, check your glow plug.. just push the little red button...

I have EZ start and I like it. My luck with pull starts hasn't been too good. On my brand new engine after the first couple of pull the spring wouldn't recoil the pull start. With my EZ start, I have an 1800 NiCd battery that I gave 5 bucks for brand new on ebay and it lasts 2 days of bashing.

man I'm with you on not liking the EZ start. tried it, pain in the A$$. slaped on a pull start and igniter. starts everytime pretty much. if something is wrong you going to know about it. you dont need EZ start to tell you something is wrong. I'm not bashing EZ start, some people swear by it. its just not for me. do whatever feels right for you
if you want i got an extra battery and charger/discharger i dont need. send me a PM if interested

You know I may have jumped to conclusions. My battery is probably toast and the charger gets so hot you can't hold on to it for very long. I don't race so weight isn't really a factor.

good idea to get a charger like i got the hobbico 905. has AC/DC connectors so if it dies when your out bashing. just hook it up to you 12V car batter for 20 min and your up and running again

buy two knew batteries I was having that same problem and my mom bought me a battery (brand new) and I cleaned the one way bearing and now it starts better and the battery last me forever also make sure your truck is tuned if it runs to cold they are a pain in the but to start.

Well it is like zero outsied(celsius) and it runs about 190-200 dagrees. I haven't noticed an improvement in porformance so i left it there.

OK well my ez start battery is well it starts my truck once. So is there any way to start my truck even though it has ez start? Without any real mods.
