hi there i went to start my revo today, i had a fully charged battery in my ez start but when i push the start button all i get is a tick tick noise coming from the starter motor, its not flooded because i dont even have the glow plug in and the piston is not jammed because i can move it by moving the fly wheel?
any help would be apreciated

thanks

Maybe the start engine itself is busted?

I'd guess that either the ez-start motor is shot, or you may have jacked up the gears in the starter. How old is the battery, did you try another one? If the battery sat for a really long time, it could be bad, NiCds are really bad but NiMhs can die as well.

Same issue with mine yesterday and found it was the battery in wand was bad. Worked fine the day before and even at first try yesterday but when i changed battery to my newest pack ez start worked fine. Also your OWB (one way bearing) could be gummed up and you need to remove it and clean it out good with wd40. Tons of black gunk will come out of it and free it back up.

wheres the owb? i think it mite be jammed i have two batteries, ones quite new and ones quite old so i dont think its the battery
thanks

I had this problem before on my tmaxx, found out the wand was bad, do you have another one? I'd bet thats what it is

take your ez start off so it is not under any load, and try it. if the motor turns over, your OWB could be gummed up. if you try it and have the same problem, it's either a bad motor, bad wand or bad battery ! process of elimination !

Yeah I had the same problem but I think my ez-start broke when it hit the bottom of the trashcan! Pullstart is the only way to go.

I took the ez start off and the owb wasn't jammed so i took the ez start right apart and took all the cogs out and found that one of the little screws that holds the actual silver motor to the plastic had vibrated out about 1mm and wasn't stopping the cogs from spinning so i tighten it up put it back together and away it went util i went to restart it then the same problem again!! grrr. so thinking pull start is better option
thanks guys
