Everytime i take the car out

the back of the car gets covered in fuel.

I can hear a slight hiss but can't see anything spraying out

I took the EZ start off and cleaned it and noticed there is no rubber O-Ring , is that right?

I want to keep the EZ start as i like it.

any advice would be great

i just found this in my spares box

i presume the EZ start has lost its o-ring

The ez start unit does not use an o-ring. Check the exhaust header gasket between the header and block, make sure the header bolts are tight header is not cracked, and the exhaust coupler is not torn and zip tied snuggly to the pipe and header.
Also check that the engine head bolts are snug and the carb is not cracked or the HSN seat is not loose in the carb. With that much fuel it should be pretty easy to detect where it’s coming from.
If needed, just clean it up and run the engine while watching for the leak.

Same thing happened to me. My issue was, comming out of the loose coupler & zip ties. I took it apart, clean the pipe & re installed with new couplers & zip ties. caught it before it gotten worst. problem fixed.

My header had a small crack in it, one day it split right off and realized that's where it was coming from.

it deffo looks like its coming from around the mainifold/EZ start area

I have stripped the engine down and tightend everything back up

hopefully this will fix it as I'm struggling to see where its coming from.

seal it

while you got the starter off clean it real good with brake clean let dry, I hate silicone but if that is all you have make sure you use a very thin coat. Tighten her up even , your good to go.
