I want to add tire extensions to make my x 4.6 a little wider, i was look at them on ebay .. http://cgi.ebay.ca/HPI-Savage-17MM-...286.c0.m14&_trkparms=66:2|65:15|39:1|240:1318

i looked at the diagram, and is it just i take off my tire, romove the pin holding on the shaft and slide those on? Then for my tires do i still use the nut at the front or do i use the screw? I'm confused there

Also, any CONS by using these?
Let me know
Thanks all

To me, it looks like you slide on the extensions, slide in the pin, then hold it in with the set screw. Then you use the other side for the wheel then screw in the the button head screw. The only con I can think of is if the extensions don't fit snug enough, you'll end up with some wobbly wheels.

ye, ok perfect, easy to install.
Thanks..

No, the axles are longer. Still an easy mod.

an extra 1.5" on each side is ALOT. that seems like alot of additional stress on the bearings. Is there any reason you want it wider or is it just for looks?

it does not hurt, I always ran 3/4" offset wheels on my savvy's when bashing. They make it a lot more stable. RPM 3/4" offset wheels are sweet.

Are you saying that extending the location you mount your wheel by 1.5" does not affect bearing wear?

No reason. More looks yes, and also stabability.. If it causes damage, then i dont need it .. No point

i just see it putting more stress on bearings. There is no support between the bearing and wheel and 1.5" just seems like an awful lot to extend it out.
