Damn You guys and your lids. I am never going to get a lid. I will just run without one..Land on my cooling head and quit the hobby. Or I could get a lid and be as happy looking at it as I am now.

That is the sickest lid I have ever seen..Wow Tell me your secrets.what was your base coat? and were did you get the mask? I want to no how you did the shading on it..I am trying to learn your ways..

Base coat - Faskolor
2 light coats of Fasescent Purple
2 light coats of Fasescent Blue
Backed with FasSilver & FasBlack

Paint Mask - Parma
2- Skull design #10673

The shading was tricky, but once I got the areas around the skulls masked off, it was pretty easy.. I just thinned out some FasBlack, and lightly followed the outline of the mask where I wanted to shade. A little heavier in some areas for depth.

AND.... It will be used, just like all my other lids...

Thanks Silent, and I'll have to try using some of those brighter colors & intense designs like you.... :) I love to paint, but sometimes lack the patience in the prep work.. I really have to be in the mood...
 
Someday I'll try Ebay... The last few lids I've done, were for guys on the forum.. Unfortunately, I haven't had much time to really get a few lids done in one shot. I'm hoping that with the nicer weather comin, you'll be seeing alot more...

The Rims/tires are for break-in.. I'm in the process of customizing my HPI 8 spokes with Dirtbones.. lol
