Just to inform you all, I am still here. I had a my father pass away and didn't have time to see the posts. I see some disagree with it, and thats fine. I was just venting. Nothing wrong with that. As of the Nitroaddict guy, you got a problem with me, I will personaly fly my ass to your location and dial the number of some one that cares about your poop and you can press send. I don't know you, I don't want to and I don't give a poop about your opinions. I see a lot of you talk a lot of trash when a person hasn't responded right away. Unlike most of you, I have a family and a life to attend to. As of the owning poop, (Nitroaddict) if you want to own me, you have to grow some balls and get your ass over here in my face. I'll give you a lesson on gravity!

I'm tired of all these damn ricers talking about how their Civic runs 14's and having just an intake for their engine mods. I call bullshit, you ain't fast until you at least upgrade that exhaust. Think about all the backpressure created by having more fuel and more air in your engine. I'll bet you never thought about that? You ain't poop until you get an exhaust. And it ain't an exhaust unless it's 4" minimum.
Seriously people, this's something very important. You think the pros in JGTC run a stock exhaust in their 700hp+ cars? Nope, they run an aftermarket. You guys should seriously think about these things. Come back and talk about how fast you are when you get an exhaust. Until then, don't spit knowledge.

Okay, Your talking about ricers and poop....you are talking about an exhaust like it is a HUGE upgrade. First of all the stock A/F ratio of a car isnt gonna just stuff the exhaust that damn much. A intake will only add about .8 horse power to the ground. The car featured in your car domain site....well how can I say this....is not fast. Exhuast is not a huge upgrade man...adding either High Compression pistons to a car or adding low compression pistons with a turbo or supercharger is an upgrade. I know alot of civics with an intake and exhaust that would fiddlesticking wax your ass. My friend, Anthony, 99 Civic Si swaped a 2001 Integra Type R Engine (B18C5) into it and just upgraded the intake and exhaust. this engine happens to rev to 9400 RPMs and will keep up with 1st Generation DSM Turbos. Go learn about cars before you start bragging. Personaly I think my damn miata would beat your car, drag or drift. .....I'm very disappointed, I pray to god you know more about RC Cars which it looks as if you do good work.

Well ur an idiot cuz I was making fun of somer's and his whole bearings is the poop.
And just so you know, there's a lot of people who believe with just an intake, their car can get a whole second faster in the 1/4.
Oh yeah, and the car on the link isn't meant to go fast. Nor do i plan on making if fast. I know i'm a ricer, but I also know what's tasteful for a car and I know what will make a difference with performance. I'm fully aware my intake doesn't do poop for performance, and probably makes it worse. Did I buy it for performance? fiddlesticks no, I bought it cuz I like the sound of it.
And i'm sure a Miata can beat my car in a drift competition. I'd like to see anyone do a text book drift with a fwd...and i'm not talking about go sideways and doing the motions. Actually drifting a car and go around the track faster than grip.
So why don't you STFU and get a sense of humor.

Oh boy, this post went from R/C to actual 1:1 hop ups.Now I gotta get my feet wet on this thread.
Personally, I don't like the sound of "farting" mufflers. Or the "bench top" racing that a lot of the kids these days do. It's usually a pissing match anyway.
1/4 mile times are great but basically it's for bragging rights. OH, don't get me wrong ... there's a lot of good engineering in these hop ups to get the cars to go that fast. And I give them their props but these cars are generally purpose built cars that would never pass NY inspection for emissions or suspension upgrades (lowering). But on the track they are rockets.
I'm from the old school of the illegal races where we did more than the 1/4 mile. It was more of A-B races of at least a mile and a half. Tuning of the carbs and suspension were of the utmost importance. But I am out of that now, I generally like the the kick in the pants when launching the vehicle with a lot of smoke when my tires are grabbing for every bit they're worth while my V8 is roaring as the wheels are crying for sheer joy. And love the look on the guys face next to me driving his import when I mash the throttle at 70 and still take off like a bat outta hell.
To each his own in this world of speed but remember, intake and exhaust is just a minor part of the naturally aspirated engine ... NOS is cheap HP only designed for the track. Stroke the engine, bore it out at least .30 over, port the valves, match the headers with the proper collector, check your secondaries and needles (for carbs), remap the fuel delivery system (computer controlled cars) but most of all don't just add the hp gains here ad there and claim you got at least 50+ hp. Do it all and take it to the chassis dyno.
