I just got a Duratrax Nitro Evader ST. So today I was going to start the break in process. I followed the instructions word for word. The car started fine, but the egine would just stop working when it was idling. Does anyone know what the problem and/or solution is?

During break in the mixture is rich, and the engine will load up with fuel while idling. The simple fix is to turn up the idle a little, and or leave the glow plug lighter on if you intend to idle for a long time. Once the engine is broke in properly and tuned, it should idle for extended periods with no problem. Also, glow plugs tend to burn out quickly during break in due to material wear during the break in process, so you may want to replace the glow plug too.

lol... i remember my old GT engine... it idled for about a half hour or more... didnt even die when i pulled the trigger... great engine... Yeah man, engines may be a little annoying when you are breaking them in... and that is typical.

1 thing to look into ,
the .18's on the evaders are OS's
the only thing i really didnt like about breaking mine in was the OVERLY RICHNESS
you needed and also you will notice fuel being pushed out the pipe excessively till you get a chance to finish breakin and lean it some and the best parts is even thoe they are duratrax, they are os and the havea full 2 year warranty

oh 1 more thing ,remeber that the ball diff needs adjusted after about 3 or 4 tanks ,
