i got the exceed rc madwarrior electric powered for christmas and it is a blast. i am new to the rc world and have a question. i was driving my car in my back yard(dirt) and when i brought it over to me the esc was making a weird noise. the fan was spinning and the car was running like a champ but the esc was just making weird noises. could there be dirt or rocks in there. and if so how can i get them out. thanks for all the help.

I dont own many electrics but the 1's I do own I've never experienced an issue with the ESC like you describe. I have had issues with small stones/sticks caught up between the fan and the esc which has made rattling type noises. It may be worth taking the fan off and hitting everything with some compressed air.

I've had some problems with fans. Just open it up clean it out with air like just said and you should be good to go!

how would you take out the fan because when i took my esc off i could only take off the bottom and the fan with the program boards were i guess glued or stuck in the top casing of the esc?

so i got around to taking my esc apart fully. air blew it out.(very carefully) and put it back together with nothing but wiring and the progaming in it. but when i ran it, it was still sounding like there was something in there. my dad had said that i made the fan go backward and there was a possibility that i messed it up. any more tips or suggestions would be great. Thanks.
