I have an RS4 3 ss and the shift points aren't consistant. Most of the time it shifts late, so I would turn out the screw for an earlier shift, it would be fine for a while, but then it would start shifting late again, but it sometimes would go back to shifting early without any adjustment. My set screw is pretty close to comming out I've got it at about 7 turns out which is far than what the manual says. :devious:

I tried taking it back to the stock settings, but then it wouldn't shift at all.

I'm not familiar with the RS43 SS but does it have a thrust bearing associated with the 2 speed like the NTC3? If it does, that may be your culprit. Same thing happened to me and changing this bearing fixed my inconsistent shift points. Otherwise, it could be the 2 speed shoes as well.

A worn out 2 speed shoe will cause shifting issues.
