erevo 1/10 gear noise

i bought an erevo and when i got it out of the box it was kind of hard to push and you can here alot of gear noise but the traxxas people say its normal because the motor is bigger and more tight than a 1/10 scale motor. Erevo owners can you tell me is this right?It sees to drive fine.

Thanks that's what I thought but just wanted to be safe. This truck is insane!! Just got my 11.1 45c battery and WOW!!!!!!!
