Engine upgrade

Can anyone tell me if you can upgrade the t-maxx 2.5 engine for the t-maxx 3.3?? and if you can, is it just a engine swop or do you have to change gears etc,etc.... because i think my 2.5 engine is worn so time for replacement and i was thinking if i can, an upgrade to the 3.3 with out all the hassle of changing all the other parts then i will go a head but if it means changing the grear box, turn buckles etc, then i don't think so....just looking for some more speed :>O

It is a direct drop in, just put your 2.5, starter, clutch set up, and header on the 3.3 and bolt it into place. There is a big difference in power, you might start breaking drive shafts on a regular basis.

I had that set up in my sons truck for a while but a little too much power (8 year old) so I went back to the 2.5
