Hi Everyone. I just got a used CEN Magnum NX Nitro truck. And it starts up, but I have encountered and issue. As soon as it starts up, the engine revs extremely high and i have to shut it down right away. Does anyone happen to have any suggestions on what might be causing this issue, and also how to fix it?

Thanks

Check your throttle linkage and carb.
Engine not running, pop off the air filter.
Turn on the controller and the trucks electronics.
There should be about a 1mm gap for a proper idle setting.
If it's open too much, there can be several causes.
It could be that the idle screw is keeping it from closing enough or the throttle linkage needs adjustment (or both).
Also check your throttle trim setting (on the controller - zero it out before you make any adjustments).
From idle position - hit the brake - does the carb close further?
That's usually indicative of your linkage being off as opposed to the idle setting being the prime culprit.

...and if all those things look OK, richen your low speed needle a few hours and see if that helps. If it's not a mechanical linkage issue...your low speed is probably too lean causing it to rev up.
