Ok so this is really the first time that I have been monitering my engine temps. I never did with my rustler. I ran my T maxx almost 2 hours straight, Maybe shutting down for longer then 2 minutes once.. MAYBE twice. At the end of the run time the temp was around 298. There was a range of WOT, blips, 1/2 throttle, and so on. Is that good for the temp? My manual that came with my HPI says not to get over 275. I was reading some other threads and i heard things like 370 325 and so on. I just wanted some thoughts.

Those engines like being warm. 285 is where I drew the line with mine. Just richen the HSN a bit to stay on the safe side since the temps will rise as the tank empties.

if its a 3.3 i don't know why everyone says they like running hot. cause i have 2 now that run at 235 and love it there.

Anywhere over 300 is just plain scary and a big no no for me. I generally run rich because I run hard. My 3.3 did best in the 240 to 270 range. My HPI K4.6 is about the same. I try to keep them around that but sometimes I hit the 280 range after long runs with lots of WOT passes. Just try to keep her under 300 to preserve the mill.
