I cannot get the flyweel nut off of the crankshaft, its really tight. any help would be appreciated.

A flywheel wrench such as the one from Ofna is the best way to remove the nut. Here is a link to it.

The only other way I know of is getting a large pair of pliers and use them to hold the flywheel, then use an adjustment end wrench to loosen the nut. You might be able to use a vise also. I bought that wrench from Ofna and I am so glad I did.

Have you tried putting a rag on the flywheel and using channel locks and a 4 way glow plug wrench on the nut. This is what worked for me. or is there some other problem?

I used a pair of channel locks with a chunk of inner tube to protect the flywheel from scratches and busted it loose with a quarter drive 10mm socket.

I hate not gettin' my nut off.

THATS IT!! Channel locks. I was trying to think of a better word than pliers but it wasn't coming to me. :)

thanks i eventually got it off, i put two peices of wood on each side of the flywheel and put it in a vice and then turned it, and put my new sleeve in and I'm good.
