hey guys ...took the revo out for a few tanks.. was running just fine ..popping wheellies on demand ...then it started stalling on me ...at low speeds and high speeds...it would start right back up and go for a few passes ..then stall again ..temp was ok ..was around 275..280...with 300 peaks sometimes ....it wasn't bogging or anything like that ....it would just die ...i played with the needles a bit ..it seemed to help a bit when i leaned it slightly but it would still die on me ..and the plug just has a couple tanks on it ....it was getting late so i took it in ...will try to figure it out another day

any tips ??.....by the way , it still has the 3.3

Sounds like the same bs that I am dealing with. The motor will run great the next thing you know overheat, die, run like crap, etc etc. I am thinking of getting a picco and being done with it hopefully.

mine doesn't run like crap or overheat ...it just dies ( doesn't matter what temp its at )..its the first time it does that to me ..my first engine would overheat all the time and bog ..and was a pain to tune .....that one takes the tuning good ......

ya ..i bought a wasp .26 from a guy here ...can't wait to get it and drop it in ;) ...hope it runs good :)

Yeah, Pretty much from what I understand the 3.3 is hard to hold a tune.

engine is sealed ..it was running just fine ...it runs great for a while then just dies ...i start it right back up ...few passes ...dead ...just like if someone would stop the flywheel ...its the first time it does that to me .....i was thinking maybe the OWB might be dirty and binding sometimes ...making it stall ....is that possible ???

It may be stalling from the half tank lean issue. I had to fatten up the lsn to split the difference and make mine not stall. I don't want to stop and check the fuel level.:) I richened up the lsn just until performance suffered, then leaned it back an hour. Stalling problem solved.

i didnt have problems with that before ...but i did change the line between the muffler and gas tank ..and i did put one that was a bit longer ...could this affect it ???

Not that much. Check your clutch and engine OWB. Sounds like a possible binding issue. Not everything is an air leak guys, I am seeing that thrown out at all engine problem threads here lately.

thats what i was thinking to ...an air leak would not stall it like it does ...i might bring it with me at the office tomorrow and check it out ;) ...didnt have any free time to troubleshoot it yet

mine did the same thing, ran great then started stalling, i said possible air leak because i my case it was ran great on road until it hit a bump or uneven road, had an air leak at base of carb, would not act up until it was at run temp and go over a rough spot in the road

well...brought the truck with me at the office ....just finished putting it back together ....didnt find nothing wrong with it ...but did notice 2 of the 3 clutch shoes were rubbing on the front of the clutch bell ....fixed all that ..and changed my OWB ....its raining out ..so i can't test it out ...and the office is not big enough ..lol...i will try it tomorrow ..its my day off :D

i was doing some lurking on another forum yesterday ...and found a post about the half tank lean issue ...the guys made there line from the tank and engine as short as possible ...and they say that the half tank lean is basicly gone ...so i did that to ...will see tomorro if it works

Oh Derr

Of corse

is there more than one or are you talking about the one on the EzyStart..
What affect does the OWB have on the engine to make it stall..??
If its shot wont it just stop the engine from starting..??

there is only 1 on the engine ...for the ezstart ..i changed my ezstart a couple weeks ago .i thought maybe it could have gotten some dirt in it and bind sometimes ...thats why i changed it ....so if it still stalls , ill know thats not my problem ;)

and i think there are 2 more in the tranny

well...took it out today ...seems ok ....didnt stall on me .... didnt get to see if my short fuel line made a diff for the half tank lean issue ...but i did have a bit of a scare when my RX battery died on me and the truck was heading towards me at 3/4 throttle ....i lost ALL control over the truck ...couldnt even steer ...luckily it took a turn by it self and stopped in 3 feet long grass :D

arent the 2.4ghz models supposed to have a low battery warning ??? if so , it didnt work this time ...

so i put the optidrive back ...i know the battery fail safe works on it....and yes ..the optidrive does kinda acts as a fail safe ...when low battery , you loose throttle control and goes to neutral ...but still able to steer

so ..looking for a good fail safe now ...as some of you might have seen in my other post ..haha
