Hi I'm new to rc nitro world and to this forum too .

I just finish to break in my engine and ask a lot of question to my hobby shop
I can say that all goes well in general but my little problem is that my engine is stalling very often . example i begin to play with the truck than it take at least 10 times starting and stalling before it get hot enough , so i give it a couple of run all is ok , but each time i bring back the truck and let it on idle to take the temp when i want to rethrottle it than it stall.

i have the new mgt 4.6 se.

thank for your help :bandit:

Factory settings for break in are always rich. You need to start tuning it for performance, a little at a time.
Lean the LSN about 1/16 of a turn, and run the car normally. If it still stalls, lean it 1/16 more.
Drive it for another tank or two, then start leaning the HSN a little at a time till you start to get better top end, but still get a trail of blue smoke.

Thanks rolex

i retry it today and begin to lean it but sometime it still die after 30 sec of idle.

So i turn the idle screw clockwise to have faster idle and it was stalling less often .

i also think that i dont give enough fuel ( throttle ) when i want to redruve it

anyway i really like the nitro motor but i begin to find it a little bit complicated

thank you ill probably figured it out with time and experience.

Those are the 2 videos that i learned how to tune my engine. just watch out on tuning your engine, it's best you buy a thermometer from your hobby shop to read the temp of your engine, cuz you never know when it's too lean and it overheats and messes up your engine. running rich doesn't harm your engine but being lean does. watch the videos :)

Thank these are cool video. i guess it will help me

i think i was too rich on one of the needle and too lean on the other cause i really have more smoke exhaust than the one in the video and i already have a temp gun and the temp is ok it play between 260 and 280.

thanks
