engine screws wont come off

i want to take my engine off my car because I'm getting a lightened flywheel and race clutch but there are these 2 screws that are down good. it came rtr so i dont know what kind of thread lock is on it. i got 2 of them off after trying endlessly for the other 2. they just wont budge at all. what can i do to get them to come out. also can i use something like a lighter to try and get the loc tie to loosen up a little bit. i hope the flywheel isnt this bad too LOL!

well if they arent stripped i woudl probly take a wrench to them but thats probly wrong :x

if your sure you have a good grip on the bolts, you can try a torqe bar, take the socket wrench and find a peice of pipe that will fit over the handle it to give you greater leverage but be sure you have a snug fit on the bolts or you will round them right off, and the ligher might help if you can't get a peice of pipe.

Yes, heat up the part that the screw threads into. What kind of head is it, phillips, socket, etc? SOmetimes you can tap the head of the screw with a punch and 'shock' the threads enough to get it out. If it is a flat head phillips and the head gets stripped out, you will have to drill the head off. If it is a round head socket screw, you can use a cutoff wheel in a dremel and cut a slot in the head for a screwdriver.

its not a nut its a phillips head and i can't get it to budge. if i degrease my engine area really eally good do i still have a chance of setting a part of my car on fire.

Heat it up good with a butane torchand then try cracking it loose.

I had to use an impact driver to loosen the centre diff mount screws on my Swift buggy. The screw heads were starting to chew up using an ordinary philips screwdriver.

what car are we even talkin about? when i can't get a engine mount screw to loosen, all i do is grab it with a pair of pliers that actually locks onto whatever u grab ahold of by adjusting the screw on it. works great.
