I'm not sure where I'm supposed to post this so if I'm wrong can someone put it where it goes ? heres the question. my wasp28 has been broken in with 6 tanks of hpi 20% nitro fuel following the directions. it isnt supposed to run over 250f on the temp. when I'm running in first gear the engine runs hot (around 265f) then when i get up to second or third gear it runs about 240-250f. how do i fix this & what do i adjust to fix the engine where is stays close to the 250 range. dont know if the tires will have affected the engine but I'm running 40 size tires now instead of stock. how many rounds open should the low needle & high needle be from closed ?

I personally wouldn't worry about only 265, you have plenty of oil comming out as long as there is a blue trail of smoke. how is that wasp in your savage? you are just getting more air to help disipate the heat from the cooling head at higher speeds. do you have a hole cut in the front of the body to help air flow over the head of the engine? I have an engine manual at home I will try and check it out on sunday pm

i realy like that wasp.....i would have got an os engine but didnt have the money for the one i wanted at the time & needed a new mill to race so i ended up with the wasp.......when i first got it i had problems keeping it tuned after breakin but took it out & sealed everything with rtv......now it holds a tune & easy to finetune when i need to.....found that a medium P7 turbo plug works better with the wasp28 than the standard cold one it comes with.....
