i have a trx 3.3 in my 4910 max right now I'm either going to replace with another 3.3 or maybe a losi 3.4 depending on how hard it would be to put the losi in the max what needs to be done for it to fit

From what I've read you need to grind a little off bottom of block and cut the crank shaft off with drimel cutting disk and maybe even do some cutting or drilling on the trans housing.

Or you could just drop a picco .26 max or JL red dot in it with just changing the mount.

it can't be that easy i have a second hand one of those engines with the bottom grinded off are you sayin all i need is to get a mount and cut a bit off the front of the crankshaft? to fit in my 2.5 short chassis?

I'm saying the picco .26 max will drop in with just changing the mount to a bb mount for tmaxx. No other mods needed. I've read that the losi requires the grinding and cutting off crank shaft a bit. But I've never tried the losi 3.4 in a tmaxx myself so I'm not sure about it. I have the picco .26 on my tmaxx now.

My issue with putting the .26 in it is that i have the black tranny. It takes a 5 mm cup for the tranny output and a 6 mm for the diff input. I've looked for cups to use with what i have but i can't find a 5 mm cup, 6 mm cup, and a bone that will all work together for sure. I would wanna at least do this upgrade to the rear bc i dont wanna be changing output shaft on the rear every 5 tanks or so. Could i fit one of the gray transmissions into my 2.5 then convert to steel bones for drive

UE 5 and 6mm cups with 70mm Titanium rear center shaft to fit the black transmission and short chassis.
If (big if...) my arm were twisted very hard I may be willing to let them go.

If u would wanna sell them i would deff be willing to buy them. what would you have to have for them. If u dont want to sell where could go about finding this set up

I had a .26 picco red dot in a #4910 maxx with only a FOC trans and center cvd upgrade. The only thing I have broke is a rear diff. Unfortunate I blowed the engine last summer after about 4 gallons put through it. My next engine will be a losi 3.4 upgrade. The 3.4 has tons of power plus they are super cheap to replace and hold an awsome tune. I have seen this engine put in many maxx trucks does not matter which model. It does require some grinding on block and the engine mount is what I have been told. Not sure what kind of trans mod it will take to get it to work.

hulk good to know i may just go that route for the time being and see how it goes. i have a .26 maxx on a revo right now that I'm wanting to put in my maxx and then maybe put a picco .28 in my revo not sure what i wanna do yet.

He probably just elongated the chassis engine mount location back to get clearance up front if needed and then jacked the header and pipe up for clearance of the shock tower.
Not the way you want to do it... No way will that pipe/header setup last unless you treat it like a baby.

They look beefy I would say they should take a lot of punishment:D

I sent you a PM. I understand if the price is too steep, it took me a lot of deliberation before I purchased my 1st set. Then I got another:D

I hate to be the bearer of bad news but you really need a god magnet to pick up the pieces that will be left behind from those shafts.
Those are ranked right up there with integy junk.

Buyers beware...

Nice to know WOW they look tough to. Go figure

awh i got the cvds for the short chassis ok what center drive shafts do i need for the bb conversion and do i need to upgrade my black FOC trans to grey trans?
will my rpm A-arms still fit?
i know i need an engine mount front center driveshaft, will my wheelshafts still work?
I'm looking at a kit that comes with skidplates on a 5122x t-maxx extended chassis

Yeah what snook said about those shafts is very true. $60 and my picco shredded the rear one. I thought they would last longer than 1/2 gallon for sure. After that i just went to cups and hpi dogbones. No problem since.

Its all good I'm gonna pick up a shaft and cups for the rear drive for the short chassis from snookman then if the front shaft twists off ill prob just replace it with stock depending on how long it lasts if i had the extended chassis it would be
