engine over heated

my motor went sluggish then revved up and shut down. i hit it with the temp gun right after wards read 303. still turns over but burnt the glow plug and it stripped my spur gear. what do you think the chances of it being ok are? or should i just start looking for a new motor? dont get paid till fri. so wont be buing any new parts till then

it should still be fine, I've seen my buddies tmaxx engine get close to 400! and it still runs like a champ. just richen it up some.

well mine got to 370 and then if i had known to cool it at bdc i would still have that motor

it is cooled and still turning over so hopefully it will be ok.
