Hey all, just a quick tip for you.

If you are like me, no matter how much thread lock you put on that engine mount, it's going to move after a bash. If you don't catch it then **whizz-chunk** There goes your CB, or spur.

Here's what I did. I took a file, and filed the bottom of my engine mount so it had a very rough surface. The I did the same to the chassis underneath the mount.

I then took a peice of double sided foam tape, and cut it out to match the engine mount,. I stuck it on the between the engine mount and chassis.

The sticky of the tape helps hold your mesh while you are tightening down the mount. The foam on the tape helps cushion it from vibration, and keeps to it from sliding back and forth.

I haven't had my engine mount slide around yet, nor have I had any issue with gear mesh after it's set.

Well, after 3 CB's and a ton of adjustmnentsin the feild Ihad to figure something out. Frusteration was about to kill my maxx:madface:

Thats a great idea I just broke an engine mount so I will do that when I replace it. Thanks

Nice idea....

Here's the setup I run with & haven't had a problem w/ my mesh getting messed up. Even after some pretty hard crashes.

Simply remove the 4 engine mount screws & replace them with 4 longer screws. Now tighten the motor down with them. Next, screw on 4 nylon lock nuts to make sure nothing moves at all.

It is best to have the screws pointing up. If they are pointing down, things can snag on them. If you point them up, that problem is eliminated. Plus, pointing them up will help dissipate off of them.

Simple...Cheap....Works...

That sounds like a killer idear there. Next time I head down to the Hardware store I'm going to grab a few.

Sweet TIp Lykan....you should send it in to RCCC. If somone doesn't send it before ya..lol.

Digital - that'll work bro

I've honestly never had a problem with engines coming loose personally even with nasty, nasy wrecks. Yooz guys must be using that ThreadLock blue....lol. Threadlock red is the only thing worth using.
