The pro .15 finally died, broke the connecting rod. Just gives me a reason to shove a new 2.5 R in it. Muah ha ha!

Do they make a conversion kit to put it in. That's why I was going with the 2.5 R. I am new to the hobby, also work 3rds, so hard to get the time to tinker.

id go on ebay and get the o.s 18 cv its a nice upgrade and a lot more reliable engine

Not sure what an o.s. 18 is. New to the hobby. Do they make a kit to install it. That is why I was going to use the 2.5 R.

I have the pro .15. It's an older engine so I've done my research for a replacement when it goes. The os 18 will bolt right in with the same mount and exhaust. There's different carb setups on them for different vehicles. I believe you want the rotary carb instead of the slide but I'm not positive. It's been a couple months since I've checked it out. So def look into the os 18. I saw the pro 15 tmaxx swapped over and it pulled wheelies on command!

3.3 is alot better but you need to change alot- all six shafts and i would recomand widemax suspension kit. i'd get a wheelie bar to cause u gona flip.

although if it was the .15 tmaxx you will need to upgrade a few thinks or that motor will tear stuff apart in that truck... I put a 3.3 in a 2.5 classic maxx and it will shear the cv shafts like nothing if I dont watch what I am doing.. just my .02 a .18 would probly be the best bet if you dont want to go through the whole truck at once.... good luck!!!

that is good to know joey!!!! I heard acouple people saying go axial for an engine and was wondering about that cause you dont hear that too often..

A pointless engine...Axial makes good crawlers....crap engines.

Never had experience with em but just was trying to joke around cuz that size would be useless anyways unless he had steel gears. but yeah never have heard of axial either and from how cheap it is i would imagine its not that great.

There is like a magical 2.5 gallon mark where they turn to garbage and will not tune/run. I had two....both the same.

I would hope so.....

could be a number of reasons for blowing up an engine, to lean, got dirt inside it, something in the nitro, etc just a few things that cause bad outcomes..

With the Axial engines it is poor build/material quality. A well designed engine with quality parts will always last longer.
