Ok I know its not a savage but I figured you guys were most likely to have the same engine. when I turn right with my tmaxx (it has a hpi f4.6 engine in it) the engine accelerates or leans out and I can't figure out what's causing it because I've tried thee different radio sets and servos, a different fuel tank and pipe and lines with no luck, is this just me or does anybody else have this problem.

If you have any ideas as to what might be the cause of it, please let me know because it is driving me mad.

Yeah ill do better ill put up a video of it tomorrow. It's not a major issue its just annoying when turning right, I'm beginning to wonder could it maybe end up hurting the engine if it is that its leaning out from it?

heres a link to it on youtube

Video is hard to go by as we do not know when you were giving the truck throttle.

Sounds like to me your lsn is lean, and it gets worse once the level of fuel in your fuel tank starts running low.

Also with those stock tanks, they are known to run lean after about half tank.
Not sure if that is what your experiencing.
If you throttle servo is moving when you are steering the truck, i know you have said you have tried 3 different radios, but have you tried changing servos?

I know servos act funny when batteries are running low also.

Some pics of your truck with the body off would be nice.:D

i have tried different servos aswell and I'm running it on 7.2v battery packs with a fail safe (also tried without failsafe).
ill take some pics now, how do you upload them on this, I'm kinda new to rcnt

also I'm running a revo tank on it

a perfect example of where its happening is at 1 min 11 secs, most of the time i just let it run freely after being on the throttle, so I'm not actually applying any throttle when I'm turning, only when taking off and youll see smoke when i accellerate because I'm using o donnell r2r fuel

Yes they helped and your revo tank is mounted backwords, which makes it useless. The Ofna violator tank will solve your troubles (15 bucks) before you toast that engine (100+bucks).

Have you tried the proline run time tank. It's 150cc tank and bolts right up with no modification needed. I picked up one for my first gen Tmaxx and I get about 5 minutes more out of a tank.

When I had the original tank on it, it same thing happened but it leaned out when braking aswell, ill try a non traxxas tank, what cc is the ofna tank

Well with the revo tank the way it is, each time you accelerate the fuel is traveling away from the fuel pick up inside the tank.

This thread is so confusing.

Youve got a T-maxx, with a Savage engine and a Revo fuel tank, posted in the Savage section.

The pipe I have on it now is a losi lst tuned pipe, I have a ht one and a second hand dynamite 053 pipe on the way.
I'm after buying an ofna violator tank off ebay so that's on the way aswell, I did look at the proline tank but I don't like that design because it will crack at the bottom where the legs are like the stock pipe does, besides its the same cc as the ofna ofna one and the ofnas cheaper.
As for the power I do have high voltage servos on it and a high torque steering servo, I only use rechargeable batteries in it anyway.
I hope this stuff fixes it, cost me enough anyway haha, and I don't want to ruin my engine.
One thing I still can't get my head around though is why it only happens when turning right and not left, even with a full tank when there's no chance of it getting away from the pick in the tank.

Revos are known for the left turn lean, but not nearly as bad as your maxx does turning right.

I think your pipe is half the problem, you should try one that has a smaller stinger.

Well I have a new tank and pipe on the way, I did try it with the resonator pipe which has a smaller stinger than the lst pipe but I still the same problem just with less power and higher running temperatures
