Hey all,
I have recently been given a Nitro buggy.
I have never had this problem before

It's a brand new engine but hasnt ran for about 4 years.
My problem is:

The flywheel which connects with my starter box doesn't turn.

Is there any way I can't fix this or is the engine completely screwed?

Cheers,
Nox

Take out the glow plug shoot a little wd-40 in the hole and a little down the carb .Then by hand start turning the flywheel back and forth until you can rotate it freely it should be fine.:D

Try what w bill said thats what i did with an old picco 27 and it spins free now.

Preheat the engine with a heat gun or blow dryer up to @ 200 degrees or so first to pre-expand all the internals. New engines are a bear to crank over the first few times for sure. Loosening the glow plug does help a little. Adding a shim will help a little bit...but pre-heating will be your best friend with a new engine.....or any engine really.
