Okay so my son decide to take off the head to his motor thinking it was flooded. As he put it back on he stripped the threads in the block. Has anyone done this and have a fix for besides a new motor. (It still runs strong but does leak)
Thanks guys!

jb weld the screw back in? Question on that would the jb weld expand with the motor? Or would it not and then again be lose when it is hot?

I am thinking about retreading the block for a slightly bigger screw.

Drill and tap the head bolt holes to the next bigger size, or check on e bay to see if you can find a replacement crank case cheap. There are alot of people parting out engines on e bay.

What kind of engine?

Loc-Tite makes a thread repair kit. I used it years ago on an engine mount that had stripped threads and it worked. It doesn't work for more than 5 or 6 removal and reinstalls of the screw, but it will hold for a few head removals.
