i just got my tmaxx running after a year or so...i cleaned out the whole engine but still after running continuously for about 15 mins the engine started cutting out and then died and would not start up until it cooled completly
anyideas?

sounds like its to lean. its going into vapor lock thats my only idea

now it wont even start up....it sounds like its started and then when i take the ez start off it dies

is it smoking out of the exhaust. check your glow plug check for a clog in the line if it was running hot all the wires in your glow plug will be deformed

it sounds exactly like it does when its running at an idle only when i press the ezstart button and when i let go it just dies

if it is running to hot how do i fix that

Go back to factory carb settings and tune from there. Make sure to warm it up before you start to tune. I think it's 4 turns out on the HSN and flush on the LSN.

did they change the tuning spot since i bought my traxxas car they said 2.5out on the hsn and 1.5on lsn but being rich wont hurt

yeah thats wat i just did i looked it up in the manual it starts and stays started but dies when i give it gas....it just needs to be tuned it was sitting for a year...ill get it runnin in the morning thanks guys

now it wont stay running it stalls when i ease on the throttle
I've tryed resetting the carb to the factory settings

i don't have a t-maxx but i do have a revo that used to have a 3.3 on it, and as far as i know a 3.3 is a 3.3 no matter what vehicle its on, it really sounds to me like just a tuning issue, first off, how old is the fuel, if its over a year old and it has had air in it, its time for a new supply, and check your fuel lines make sure they aren't kinked or have holes in them, check for air leaks, and make sure that your exaust coupler is in good shape, i know it may sound like alot but as most ppl know, alot of little problems can add up to one big problem, i'm living proof of that, i had a bash day when nothign was going in my favor, tranny issues, tuning issues, starter issues, tire issues ect https://www.rcnitrotalk.com/forum/showthread.php?t=71586
but i would check all of that and make sure ur all good before you go making any rash decisions about ur rig, it can be fixed its just gonna take time
