Just curious for those that have the mgt. I just ordered mine this week and will be here Wed. next. I have heard that they are somewhat under powered and wanted to know how true that is. I have a few other engines sitting around and would like to see which one you all think would be best until I get up a little extra money for a new engine. I have a force .26, O.S. .21 rg, and a RB S5. The RB is in my TTR S3 buggy for now but the others are not being used atm. Would I be better off using one of the ones I have or the .21 that comes in it?? Thanks

THe TT 20 Pro is a great engine. My Bro has an XTM 24-7 Pro and he is using the OS T 2050 pipe. Great combo. The thing I would do for the MGT is change the pipe location to side. Another thing to try is aluminum clutch shoes. If you haven't looked already on the forum for mods to do, Switch your Battery connector on the RX to the AUX slot rather then the batt slot. The Batt slot prevent your from getting the full 4.8 or 6 V to the servos.

Out of the engines that u have, i would say the os is good for racing, while the force is a good basher motor. I just got a new xtm 247 pro, and i race. Great motor.

I did read that about the aux channel but I will not be using the rtr radio. I ordered an airtronics rx so I can keeps using my mx-3.

I think the OS 21 RG is pretty good...I still use the stock motor and I'm happy with it's power...enough to bash with and race with local MGT guys at a small dirt bike track (they also have stock engines). I say if you're not racing, use the stock or swap that in the buggy.

O.K. I am looking at engines now. Seeing as this is a monster truck and needs a torquey engine, what about a 4-stroke?? Which one is a good match for the truck or just stick to the bigger 2-strokes. I would like to be 4 stroke if possible more to be a little different than anything.

I'm havin problems with the linkages..the stock one is short so it doesn't reach the carb right..it will make my truck on brakes fulltime ..any suggestions

Get longer rods and that will solve your problem. MY bro had that problem with the 24-7 pro. The stock linkage lengths were too short.

Let us know what happens.

thanks man i got the rods for the plane i just need to test it..

I really like the stock engine so far. I have probably 15 tanks in my mgt. I am thinking about a new motor, but I am not so sure now..
I was really leaning torwards the dynamite .26 due to price and power. Would my mgt be as fast as an LSt with just an engine change, or would i need to change some gears as well??

I don't know for sure but sounds like a good head to head race to watch.

Well, so far, the tt.21 is a sweet engine. It puts out a ton of power and I can't complain about it.

If I do go up in size on the motor, I really want an easy to tune and durable (long-life) engine. I don't care about doing 75 mph on my back 2 wheels while trying to launch it into orbit off of a ramp in the yard.. but I want power and durability.
I know nothing about the sh28.. Would it be a better choice than an O.S. or the Dynamite?

thanks,
adrian

The OS RG 21 makes comparable power to the Pro 21. The Dynamite Mach 26 is more powerfull than both. I have a Picco 27 in my MGT and it is very powerfull also and easy to tune.
