What can you use to clean the outside of your engine?
Could I use old fuel, or maybe Isopropyl alchohol?
I have it stripped down and the engine out.
So I just want to get the gunk off.

do you have to clean the oil off so it doesn't collect dirt and trap heat?

what about old fuel? I've heard that u can use that.
I have a quart of literrally 15 year old 15% in my shed.:\

You can use old fuel to get the majority off and it will work pretty well. The problem is that it still has oil in it so you theoretically just reoiled your block for some fresh dirt to stick to. Myself - Simple Green and ARO or Marvels before reassembly.

fule has oil in it witch is collecting dust and what not on the engine. Carb and choke cleaner would be great then use a.r.o when u put it back together

why dont u just use engine degrease.... if its just the outside of the motor y not?
