My stock Aftershock .26ss is toast. To buy all the parts to get it going I could buy a complete motor which is what Ill probably do because I bought the truck used.

I'm thinking about getting the .28 3hp engine by Dynamite, $160 at the local hobby shop. Anyone hear good things or suggest another engine? I like the fact that the .28 uses some of the same parts as the .26 so I can use the old motor fo parts if need be.

If you are on a tight budget, Coach Z has one for sale in the FS/FT thread. It's a Dynamite Mach 427, I believe they are the stock engines for the LST2's, brand new for $110. He has 2 of them, I'm getting the other one for my LST that went 'up in smoke'... so to speak.
