i jsut received a NTC3 with no electronics and i was wondering what in all would be a good purchase for all, also i have an emaxx annd stampede I'm willing to strip, would any of those elctronics fit

Just need some servos, a battery pack, a radio, and a receiver and your good to go. (dont forget a good air filter and somefuel)

If you are racing your going to want a fast steering servo ( prolly .15 -.13 seconds at 6v) for throttle/brake you'll prolly want something around 60-80oz tourque range. Get you a 1200Mah battery or something close depending on your budget. Finally a decent radio and receiver. M8orM11, XR3orXS3 etc... (Jr, HiTech, AirTronics).

If you are just going to be bashing it, go to your local LHS and buy just about any decent radio setup. It will usually come with a decent radio/receiver, crystals, 2 servos, and a AA battery holder in one box and run under $200.

Oh and while AM is fine, If you have a couple extra $$ go for FM, better range and better signal quality. There is usually not "much" price difference between AM and FM but you didnt specify your price range, so...

Your emaxx stuff would fit, but your going to need an extra servo. The emaxx uses an esc instead of a throttle servo.

yeah but it has a servo to poop instead, and the receiever doesntd fit in the box so

I don't really get what your saying here.

You could just strap the reciever somwhere that it does fit. Its not like an offroad vehicle where it sees dirt/mud/water.

ok, so i tried putting my emaxx receiver in the NTC3 and it was a no go, i tried the stampede and again it didnt fit, do i need to buy a whole new radio system

The small, Micro FM receivers fit. Futaba, JR, Airtronics, Novak, KO ... all have the smaller rc's available.

If this is an RTR receiver that comes with the Traxxas TQ2 or TQ3, it will not fit.
