How much was your bill for the past month? Mine was high to say the least. I'll post after a few of you... :whip:

Not too bad there N/C... Let see if any of you can top mine... I'll still wait for a couple more people to post.

Let’s see,
My total paid to PG&E last month was just shy of 1,400.00
It will be 20%-30% more this month due to running air conditioners in this 105 degree weather. It runs close to the same every month except July and August when its higher 1.500.00-1,700.00

April, 90.00 (normal for time of year)
May, 250.00
June 360.00
July, estimate, 550.00
August, estimate, 550.00
September, estimate, 550.00
October, estimate, holding up a gas station to fund the price of AC.

Alright Eddy, you win... Ours was $1400 last month, electricity alone. They RAPE you with fees if you are over the "baseline" energy consumption.

I'll have to believe Ed's was including his business and home combined, but 1400.00 for your house, 21rc???? Maybe if you closed the windows when you ran the AC it would not be so much!!!! Only MW would be enough of a dink to leave his windows and doors open with the AC on, sheeesh! :OMG:

LOL. Yes, it is for my house alone! The funny thing is, the windows are closed, we have shades over the windows the sun shines on (on the outside and inside), we try not to run appliances and excess lights and such, but we still end up with a HUGE bill... Strange...

Oops, i got my number wrong... The one for my house was $1100, i got mixed up when Ed posted $1400... lol... But Still!!! That was with one week without air conditioning (broke for a week). I'd imagine this month will be a lot worse.

$55 a month here. 1000 sqr foot house with mucho insulation. I have been pretty much running my a/c since April. set at 73 degrees.

yeah you guys really need to turn off the lights when you're not in the room. Mine usually runs about $60-70 a month.

I credit some of the savings to switching over to nearly all flourescent light bulbs. I think that has saved us $5-$10 a month. An LCD monitor on your computer will save quite a few watts, too (especially if you leave your PC on all day like I do).

Woodie, I never use lights... I live in the dark... My Dad on the other hand, loves the light... I think the only lights we have running throughout the day are the one at my mom's desk, and the few over the 2 fish tanks. We have two computers that run during the day, and A/C runs in the main part of the house almost all day (super inefficient, 10 years old or more... going to be replaced next year).

Valk: We have 2-Dell 24"lcds... LOL

PG&E bill goes from the 15th to the 15th

Jan/Feb $172
Feb/Mar $165
Mar/Apr $132
Apr/May $113
May/June $86
June/July $104
July/Aug $149
